Play & Learn (PAL) Academy

Playing comes naturally for all children, and children are at higher chances of memorizing what happened during their play time than what the teacher talked about the whole.

With the PAL Academy in the schools we can finally strike a balance between playing and learning. Considering the short concentration life span of younger children, classroom activities should be more responsive, practical and enjoyable. This will raise a generation of CURIOUS and INNOVATIVE citizens as opposed to the STUDIOUS and job seekers of today.

Every parent should be worried about taking his/her child to school, because what most of them do is turn the children into robots; SIT DOWN!, STAND UP!, ALL OF YOU HEADS DOWN!,  SLEEP! these are the commonest phrases in our classrooms. What happened to speaking love in the classroom? and building responsive relationships with every child in the classroom.

PAL Academy is here to enhance learning in the classroom and to promote home learning in Uganda and Africa at large.

PAL Academy @ Rwanyangwe Parents School

On the 3rd of April 2018 we visited Rwanyangwe parents School were set up a Play And Learn(PAL) Academy and donated the early learning kits and toys that are needed to run the academy. The best part of this day was that all teachers of the school were trained in both personal development and on how to enhance learning in their classrooms as to raise curious pupils as opposed to studious pupils many schools are raising.

The preschool teachers were trained on how to run the academy as a 3 Es’ Learning Scheme
